HP Pavilion dm4t Review - Mobile Business Partner

The new HP Pavilion dm4t is one of the latest notebooks to be introduced by HP. The stylish notebook has a glossy black finish with silver and chrome accents. The 14" (diagonal) LED Screen notebook is very light at just 4.4 pounds and 1" thick. This is thus one of the most portable and comfortable notebooks for mobile computing.

Underneath this small notebook are rich features that only an industry leading manufacturer like HP can deliver. The HP Pavilion dm4t comes with Genuine Windows 7 64-Bit and includes Intel Core i5-430M Dual Core processor with Turbo Boost up to 2.53GHz for intensive multitasking with the option of being upgraded to Intel Core i7. It also includes option for 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450 switchable graphics thereby enabling better performance for 3D games and graphics, videos and photos. The system memory is expandable up to 8 GB. This means you can execute and run multiple programs at the same time without compromising the speed of the notebook.

The HP Pavilion dm4t has a wonderful display. The 14" High Definition HP BrightView LED Display screen is glossy and has resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The picture quality on this notebook is good. The keyboard is the full-size island-style. The HP TrueVision webcam which works in low-light conditions and the dual-array microphone opens the possibility of videoconferencing.

The HP Pavilion dm4t networking is also impressive. It includes the integrated Wi-Fi and choice of Intel Wireless-N card with Bluetooth. It has 3 USB (one shared with eSATA port); HDMI port, VGA, 5-in-1 integrated Digital Media Reader, and Gigabit Ethernet LAN RJ-45 connect. The HDMI and VGA ports allow the user the option of connecting the notebook to HD TV or other external display media for large screen viewing experience.

Another nice feature added to the HP Pavilion dm4t is the HP SimplePass technology which allows the user to access files and passwords by swiping the finger across the integrated fingerprint reader. If you are one of those users who forget passwords like me, this one is for you.

The notebook also includes the latest HP ProtectSmart technology which detects when the notebook is falling and locks the computer to protect hard drives and data.
